Dar es Salaam.  Mcheza filamu, Elizabeth Michael maarufu Lulu amebadilishwa kifungo na sasa atatumikia adhabu hiyo akiwa nje yaani ‘kifungo cha nje’. Lulu alihukumiwa kifungo cha miaka miwili jela Novemba mwaka jana baada ya kupatikana na hatia ya kumuua bila kukusudia msanii mwenzake, Steven Kanumba. Akizungumza na MCL Digital Jumatatu Mei 14, 2018, Ofisa Habari wa Jeshi la Magereza, Lucas Mboje amesema Lulu amebadilishiwa adhabu  na atatumikia kifungo cha nje kwa amri ya Mahakama Kuu ya Tanzania, Dar es Salaam. “Lulu amebadilishiwa adhabu na ameachiwa juzi Jumamosi kati ya saa 2 hadi 3 asubuhi. Hii si kwamba ameachiwa huru, bali amebadilishiwa adhabu na atatumikia kifungo chake nje, kitaalamu tunaita ‘community service’” amesema Mboje

Watu saba akiwamo mwanamke mmoja wanashikiliwa na Polisi mkoani Arusha kwa tuhuma za kuhamasisha maandamano kupitia mitandao ya kijamii. Kaimu kamanda wa polisi Mkoa wa Arusha, Yusuph Ilembo amewaambia wanahabari leo Aprili 25 kuwa watu hao wamekamatwa kutokana na sababu za kuhamasisha maandamano Aprili 26 mwaka huu. Ilembo amesema watuhumiwa hao wamekuwa wakihamasishana kwa kutumia mitandao ya kijamii ikiwamo ya Telegram na WhatsApp. Amesema watu hao wamekamatwa kupitia vitengo vya intelijensia baada ya kuwekewa mitego mbalimbali na kufanikiwa kuwakamata. Amesema miongoni mwa watuhumiwa hao baadhi yao wapo vyuo vikuu, mitaani na maeneo mengine. Ilembo ameongeza kuwa watuhumiwa hao wanatarajiwa kufikishwa mahakamani muda wowote, huku wakiendelea kuwatafuta wengine kwa njia mbalimbali. Syria has returned to France the prestigious Legion d'honneur presented to President Bashar al-Assad, saying he would not wear the award of a country that was a "slave" to America. The move comes days after France said a "disciplinary procedure" for withdrawing the award was under way. France recently joined the US and Britain in bombing Syrian targets over an alleged chemical weapons attack. The award was returned to France via the Romanian embassy in Damascus. President Assad was decorated with the highest class of the award, the Grand Croix, in 2001 after he took power following the death of his father. "The ministry of foreign affairs... has returned to the French republic... the decoration of the Grand Croix of the Legion d'honneur awarded to President Assad," the Syrian foreign ministry said in a statement. Emergency services attended the fire at a block of flats in northeast London  Credit: @LAS_HART A woman has died following a fire at a three-storey block of flats in northeast London, London Fire Brigade said. More than 70 firefighters were called to a fire in a flat in Chingford at 2.14am on Friday. Pictures from the scene show flames pouring out of the roof of the building in Connington Crescent. The building houses Connington Court and Connington House - both run by Sequence Care - which provide services to support adults with autism and other complex needs or behaviours, according to Care Quality Commission documents. Twelve people are understood to have left the block before the emergency services arrived. Station manager Keith Wilson said: "Firefighters have been working hard to contain the spread of the fire which has destroyed the roof. "Crews expect to be here into the day, tackling hot spots." The cause of the blaze is not yet known
